Lyte AI Inc. said it has raised $165 million in Series C funding, giving the company a post-money valuation of $1.6 billion. Founded in 2021 and based in Sunnyvale, California, Lyte develops processors, multimodal sensors, and software designed to help robots determine their location and detect motion in the surrounding environment.

The company says it controls its technology stack from the silicon level through to the spatial data output generated by its systems. Lyte positions that vertical integration as a core differentiator for LyteVision, its perception platform for robotic applications requiring real-time environmental awareness.

According to the company, it is already in production and shipping to robotics customers in inspection, logistics, and manufacturing. Lyte also said that LyteVision received a CES 2026 “Best of Innovation in Robotics” distinction. In its description of the platform, the company said LyteVision combines 4D coherent vision, high-resolution imaging, and inertial sensing on a single synchronized timeline.

Maverick Silicon led the round. Participants included Fidelity Management & Research Company, which had led Lyte’s Series B, as well as Atreides Management, Key1 Capital, Ora Global, identified in the source material as formerly Exor Ventures, and additional existing and new investors. Andrew Homan, managing partner at Maverick Silicon, has joined Lyte’s board of directors.

Lyte said the new financing will be used in three main areas: scaling production of its sensing silicon and LyteVision platform, advancing its AI and perception capabilities, and expanding deployments with robotics companies and industrial customers. The company also expects substantial hiring over the next year across silicon, software, optics, manufacturing, operations, and go-to-market functions, including senior leadership roles.

With this round, Lyte’s total funding since its founding reaches $272 million. It is also the second financing round the company has announced in 2026. In January, Lyte emerged from stealth and disclosed $107 million in aggregate funding. The available details are based on company statements and reporting published by The Robot Report.
